The local staff arranged a hotel for the day.<br>I took the liberty of thinking that it was impossible to book a hotel on short notice, at least a motel, but I thought I had made a reservation.<br>I thought it would be easy to find with all the signs out there. At night, after work, I was told it was a guest house.<br>I set my cell phone's Google navigation system in my car. As we neared our destination, my phone, which had been acting up for some time, shut down. The Wi-Fi I had brought with me was also out of range.<br>The area is pitch black. We were completely isolated. I don't even remember the way back to the office. I can't even use the phone.<br>We had no choice but to search for a private home, remembering the screen just before the navigation system disappeared. We left the car on the way and walked on foot to find the address in the pitch dark.<br>Finally, I found a place, but there was no sign. There was no electricity. Fearfully, I rang the chime, but no one answered. The door was closed.
