Arriving at Osaka airport, I said to myself “This is it!”, wish granted. Coming out from the plane had only siesta during the flight. I felt tired and sleepy then. I couldn’t help myself smiling big, I am so excited and nervous. I finally landed on my dream country “Japan”.
On my way out, I started feeling excited to see the Japanese people’s lifestyle and culture. But before you could enjoy your trip or whatever plans you have ahead. Upon arrival, I just followed the people where they headed to and ended in this area the immigration. I just had a short interview base on my purpose. But though the line was long, it moved fast.
Be sure to finish the airport hassle like the customs declaration upon arrival. That’s a bit annoying but it is a must. No choice!
At first, I was worried thought that forms were in Japanese language but no worries, there’s English version be sure to memorize important details like Flight number, Passport Number and most especially your accommodation’s address in Japan. But to have a hassle-free experience, download Japan Web before entering Japan that’s very convenient.
I regretted that I didn’t download this, so I had to fill in that Customs Declaration form. After that, I could breathe freely and ready to go out. At the lobby, I had to check what’s in there. A traveler will not be lost coz if you need assistance, you can find a booth. It was very helpful; language barrier is not an issue at all.
I noticed that there were not so many travelers on that day I arrived. That was good for me, I could easily find what I needed. Of course, I was looking for a shop or restaurant to eat before I embark my dream trip in Japan. And I found this restaurant, it wasn’t expensive, a self-service but food didn’t suit my taste. Maybe my tongue was not yet ready for this trip LOL!.
I recommend this after you arrived at KIX for those who are not picky eater.
Anyways, that’s how my first day in Japan experience. So, I suggest before you plan to travel abroad make thorough research not just relying on what you’ve heard. Because it might be different if you’re in the actual situation.
