This place is also a part of my bucket list in Japan. I’d like to know the past of Hiroshima. As we all know that Hiroshima was damaged severely due to the atomic bombing happened in August 1945.
Let’s go and check out the “Hiroshima National Peace Memorial Hall for the atomic bomb victims.” First, I got a ticket so that I could see a glimpse of the past on that day inside the hall.
When I was inside on the first area, I could see a big picture or the whole picture of Hiroshima before the bombing incident. It was peaceful. Then the part that really pierced my heart was the pictures of the victims who were in unberable pain and died.
Upon reading and stared at those pictures, I felt my heart was heavy and more curious to know more. Actually, that was a confidential place, but I managed to take photos inside LOL. Next, were Victims Information Area. I could read some names with their stories.
Reading all the stories, testimonies and everything was devastating. Most especially when I saw some clothing that were worn by the victims on the day of the bombing.
I felt like I traveled in a time machine way back 1945. You could clearly create a movie how the bombing happened. While looking at those pictures, I could also feel the pain, sorrow on that place. Not only those pictures, clothing, pieces of bricks but another famous structure.
Also, I saw some people offered flowers for the victims of the bombing and pray but I didn’t.
Curiosity pushed me to know more about the place. The Memorial Hall can give you full information. So, if you have plan to visit Japan put this on your list. You won’t regret. Are you interested to know more? Go and see for yourself.
